Our Rivers
West Coast Packrafting has a concession to operate on 13 different rivers up and down the West Coast. This means there is something for everyone as our trips range from single day Class II trips to multiday Class IV adventures with scope for everything in-between. Currently we are only running scheduled tours on the Hokitika Gorge but get in touch if one of these rivers is on your bucket-list and we can arrange a custom trip.
Intermediate Trips, Class III
Landsborough, Class III, 3-4 days
Arguably one of the best multi-day whitewater packrafting trips in NZ. Join us for a trip down this stunning river.
Lower Crooked, 1 day, Class III
If you like your trout huge, your water blue and your gorges tight the Lower Crooked is for you.
Taipo River, Class III, 1-2 days
One of the easiest-accessible packrafting training grounds on the West Coast. Day trip or multiday options.
Wanganui, Class III (IV), 2 days
Cable cars, hot pools x2 and a good honest walk. Earn your eddies on the Wanganui.
Upper Grey, Class III, 2 days
Epic camping and no walking! The Gentle Annie Gorge is not only beautiful but provides some great whitewater.
