Our Rivers
West Coast Packrafting has a concession to operate on 13 different rivers up and down the West Coast. This means there is something for everyone as our trips range from single day Class II trips to multiday Class IV adventures with scope for everything in-between. Currently we are only running scheduled tours on the Hokitika Gorge but get in touch if one of these rivers is on your bucket-list and we can arrange a custom trip.

Mōkihinui, Class IV, 2 days
Stroll up the Old Ghost Road then drop in to the challenging rapids of the Mōkihinui.

A real West-Coast treasure. Schist gorges and challenging whitewater all above the world-famous Hokitika Gorge.
Taipo, Class IV, 3-4 days
An epic opportunity to do an Alpine Crossing over Harman Pass and into the Upper Taipo.
Karamea, Class IV, 5-6 days
Not one for the faint-hearted. A stunning hike followed by world-class paddling.
Waiatoto, Class IV, 2-3 days
Walk or Jetboat up this South Westland gem then descend through the exhilarating rapids.
